San Antonio is 169.1 miles up Interstate 35, about 3 hr 10 of driving, with far more flights and far more ways to rebook. A lot of corporate travel here chooses the drive deliberately for that reason.

The crossing itself is the unpredictable part of any such day. The wait at a bridge is set by traffic and staffing, not by a schedule, so a meeting timed tightly after a crossing is a meeting at risk.
