In Los Angeles the bus is sold by time, not by distance. It and its driver stay with your group for a block of hours — 4 at the least — and inside that block the route is yours to change.
That matters more here than in most cities. Hollywood, Downtown and Santa Monica are each a freeway apart, and a group scattered across rideshares after midnight rarely ends the night in the same place.

What a party bus LA night costs
There are two buses on the rate card: 20 seats at $245 an hour, and 25 seats at $285. Five hours on the larger bus comes to $1,425 for the bus, whatever the head count.

Where
A night here tends to join places that are far apart even by city standards: Hollywood Boulevard, Downtown around Crypto.com Arena, Santa Monica, and the beach cities south of it.
Downtown to Hollywood Boulevard is 9.0 miles on US-101. Santa Monica sits at the end of I-10 from either one, and the run down the coast to Hermosa Beach follows CA-1.
Those are free-flow times. TomTom's 2025 Traffic Index puts the Los Angeles rush-hour average at 27.6 km/h, so a plan with three far-apart stops wants more than the minimum hours.

Venues
For a show at Crypto.com Arena, the arena says space for large vehicles is very limited and arrangements should be made 10 days before the event — so book the bus, and tell us the event, well ahead of that.
The Hollywood Bowl sends rideshare drop-offs to Lot C (Purple), at 6655 Odin St. and describes its parking as stacked, extremely limited and may sell out, so early exits are not allowed. Where a bus of this size can stop is confirmed with you before the night.

The law
California sets out what a chartered group must do when both are aboard. When the trip is arranged, the carrier has to ask whether alcoholic beverages will be served or transported in the passenger compartment, and whether a member of the party will be under 21 years of age.
If the answer to both is yes, a designee who is 25 years of age or older must be present whenever passengers under 21 without a parent or legal guardian are aboard. The designee checks every passenger's ID, reads a set statement to those under 21 — it begins "Consumption of alcoholic beverages by persons under 21 years of age is illegal." — and returns a signed form no later than 72 hours before the travel date.
